There are three main services that we provide :
These three services form the core of what we offer to small to medium businesses to provide you with a more professional online presence and image.
Web Domain Registration We will help you find your ideal available domain name, and we will register it on your behalf. This in effect becomes your domain name. If you wish to cease using our services at any point, we will relinquish control of the domain to you or to your chosen service provider. We will NOT keep the domain name once you have instructed us to release it. There is a £5 admin fee to release a domain name to yourself or another company - there are no other charges - we will not hold you to ransom over a domain name! There is no charge or admin fee if you just wish to cease services with us and have the domain name expire. Web domains are purchased for a minimum duration of 1 year, so we cannot refund our costs pro-rata at any point during the year.
Website Creation and Hosting We will create a basic, professional looking website for you. The template will be similar to this website. You can have up to six web pages (we have used "Home", "Services", "Packages", "FAQ", "About Us", and "Contact Us" - but you can choose your own headings). You can choose the colour scheme. You can choose and/or send us any relevant pictures that you wish to use. The website can have direct links to online webmail if you so wish. We will send you a word document that you can complete with the text that you want for each page. You can also send us sketches, ideas, thoughts, etc on how you want your page to look and we will try and accommodate them. Once we have created your basic website, we will publish it privately online for you to view. Once you are satisfied with the content, we will then publish it publicly on your registered domain. If you need to change your website in any way, such as a change of address, phone number, or update any of the content, please let us know and we will do this for you. There is a low charge of £5 per basic update (eg address, phone number, or small text changes) or £10 for a more in-depth overhaul (changing layouts, adding / removing graphics, adding / removing pages, etc) If you have friends / colleagues who can create snazzy websites customized for you, you can send us the files and we will upload them to your account. We want you to be happy and in control of your own website as much as you can / want to be!
Email Setup We can offer a variety of options for email. These include : Email Forwarding (eg from enquiries@johnsmith-plumbing.co.uk to jsplumbing@hotmail.com). This option is ideal if you want to keep using your existing generic email accounts, but to have enquiries appear to be going to a more professional email address. POP3 / IMAP. We can create email addresses for you to access off-line. For example, using Windows Live Mail, Windows Mail, or any email application on iPhone, Blackberry, or Android phones. Your emails will be stored on your domain server. These can be accessed from any device and a copy of the email either left on the server, downloaded, or deleted as required. Webmail. In addition to POP3/IMAP, you can access your emails directly from your domain address using inbuilt webmail. This should ensure that you have access at all times, whenever you use it, from any PC - without having to set up any local applications. The number of email addresses and / or the storage space allocated will vary dependant on which package option you choose. These can be upgraded as and when required.
